This notice explains what personal information Alorny Ltd collects through this website and while we work with clients, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What we collect
Information you give us
- Your name, email address, phone number or WhatsApp number, and your company name, when you contact us or ask for a quote.
- Anything you type into the chat assistant on this site, including any files you attach to it.
- Project information you send us while we scope or build your system, which can include access details for tools you already use.
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and the site or search that sent you here. This comes from Google Analytics 4 and is covered in our cookie notice.
- Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider.
What we never collect here
We do not take card details on this website. If you become a client, payment is handled by a regulated payment provider or by bank transfer, and the card details go to them, not to us.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- Answering enquiries
- Replying to you, preparing a quote, and following up. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, being our interest in responding to people who ask us to.
- Delivering work
- Scoping, building, testing and supporting what you hire us to build. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- Running the chat assistant
- Generating a reply and remembering the conversation while it is happening. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Site analytics
- Understanding which pages work. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Records and accounts
- Invoices, tax records and company filings. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed our interest against your rights, and we will stop if you object and we have no overriding reason to continue.
The AI assistant on this site
The chat widget sends what you type to a third party AI model provider so it can generate a reply. That means your message leaves our site and is processed on the provider's infrastructure.
Please do not put passwords, card numbers, health information, or anything else genuinely sensitive into the chat. If you need to send us something confidential, email us and we will agree a safer route.
The assistant is an automated system. It does not make any decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect on you. Every commercial decision, quote and contract goes through a person.
Sending information outside the UK
Alorny Ltd is registered in the United Kingdom and our team works from Zimbabwe. Our service providers are largely based in the United States. This means your information will be accessed and stored outside the UK.
Where that happens we rely on the UK government's adequacy decisions where one covers the destination, and otherwise on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the provider's own security commitments. You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply to a specific transfer.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become work
- 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Chat conversations
- Kept only for as long as needed to run and improve the assistant, and no longer than 12 months.
- Client project records
- For the life of the engagement and 7 years afterwards, because UK company and tax law requires us to keep the underlying records.
- Analytics
- 14 months, which is the retention we have set in Google Analytics.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask what we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Have inaccurate information corrected.
- Have information erased, where we have no continuing need or legal duty to keep it.
- Restrict how we use it while a dispute about accuracy or our grounds is resolved.
- Object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests.
- Receive information you gave us in a portable format, or have it sent to someone else.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is what we relied on. Withdrawing it does not undo what we did before.
Email contact@alorny.cloud to use any of these. We will respond within one month. There is no charge unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
Complaining to the regulator
If you think we have handled your information badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it, but you do not have to.

Security
We use encrypted connections for this site and its backend, restrict access to client information to the people who need it, and keep credentials in an access controlled store. No system is perfectly secure, so we do not claim ours is. If a breach happens that is likely to risk your rights, we will tell the ICO within 72 hours and tell you where the law requires it.
Children
This site and our services are aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page when what we do changes. The date at the top of the page always shows the current version. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will contact you directly rather than relying on you rereading this page.
